When is haemodynamic monitoring useful?
- Haemodynamic monitoring can be used on all critically ill patients (adult and paediatric patient cases)
- To optimise patient-specific therapeutic delivery with data-led insight.
- Can be used in a variety of clinical settings from operating rooms and critical and intensive care, or emergency care units.
What does haemodynamic management include?
At Vygon we believe in a three-system approach to the most effective haemodynamic management; signal, monitoring and therapy.
Step 1) Signal – Arterial Catheters
Achieve unaltered signal quality via arterial access with the Vygon Leadercath Arterial Catheter. A vital first step in haemodynamic management best practice, as inaccurate measurement may lead to inappropriate interventions.
Step 2) Monitoring – Haemodynamic Monitoring
Haemodynamic signals are sent via the arterial line to the haemodynamic monitor, providing core data sets and variables which clinicians can use to interpret haemodynamic function and the most appropriate therapeutic course. This form of monitoring is used in a variety of critical care settings and theatre settings.
The Mostcare Up Haemodynamic Monitor from Vygon UK, allows for real-time monitoring for timely intervention. Allowing clinicians quick and easy access to patient data. Suitable for use in both adult and paediatric cases.
Step 3) Therapy – Central venous catheters (CVCs) and infusion lines
Ensure optimal delivery of the chosen therapeutic administration via central venous catheters, infusion lines or other vascular access delivery as required.
A vital requirement for certain emergency scenarios is high-flow therapeutic administration. For these clinical cases, discover Vygon’s Multicath High Flow UP; A multi-lumen CVC with a dedicated large lumen for rapid infusions. Suitable for patients experiencing rapid blood loss, major surgeries, or sepsis cases.
Arterial or central venous access procedure packs: For many of our arterial catheters, central catheters and lines we offer standardised and custom procedure packs options. These custom procedure packs allow clinical teams to curate customised procedure packs to match local protocol, standardise procedures, reducing waste and costs.
