Double Milestone: 20 Years of Nutrisafe2 and a Decade of World Prematurity Day Support
This November, Vygon proudly celebrated two significant milestones: 20 years of Nutrisafe2, the trusted neonatal enteral feeding system, and 10 years of supporting World Prematurity Day. These anniversaries reflect our unwavering commitment to improving outcomes for the most vulnerable patients, premature and sick babies.
Nutrisafe2 was introduced two decades ago to set a new standard in neonatal care. Designed specifically for enteral feeding of neonates, Nutrisafe2 eliminates the risk of dangerous misconnections by being fully incompatible with Luer systems. Compliant with ISO 80369-1 standards, it features a lockable system for secure dosing, radiopaque lines for visibility, and reduced dead space to ensure accurate drug dose delivery. For 20 years, Nutrisafe2 has been trusted by clinicians worldwide to provide safe, precise care for fragile newborns.
Our dedication extends beyond our products. For a decade, Vygon has marked World Prematurity Day by raising awareness and supporting families. This year, we supported Bliss Baby Charity, the UK’s leading charity for babies born premature or sick. Bliss Baby Charity works tirelessly to ensure every premature or sick baby has the best chance of survival and quality of life, offering vital family support and driving improvements in neonatal care.
To celebrate these milestones, our UK team hosted a charity cake sale at our Swindon headquarters, raising £720 towards an inspiring challenge: Max Richards, National Sales Manager for our Neonatal and Anaesthesia product ranges, will run the London Marathon in 2026 to raise funds for Bliss Baby Charity.
“Running the London Marathon for Bliss means supporting families during the toughest moments of their lives” says Max. “Every run between now and the marathon on the 26th April next year is for the babies and families, helping to give them the support they deserve. If we can raise even a little more awareness, it’s worth every mile.” – Max Richards, National Sales Manager, Vygon UK.
Paul Allen, Business Manager at Vygon UK, adds “For two decades, Nutrisafe2 has set the benchmark for neonatal safety, helping clinicians deliver life-saving care with confidence. Pairing this milestone with 10 years of supporting World Prematurity Day reflects our commitment to both innovation and compassion. Together with Bliss, we’re proud to make a difference for babies and families who need it most.” – Paul Allen, Business Manager for Neonatal and Anaesthesia, Vygon UK
