In-service training: Ultrasound Guidance for Vascular Access

Training Overview

Vygon (UK) Ltd provides training to clinicians on the use of ultrasound guidance to insert vascular access devices. The training includes: principles of ultrasound guidance; basic ultrasound physics; anatomy and physiology of the veins; and ultrasound-guided vascular access tips and tricks.

A must-have session for vascular access teams working with DIVA patients, paediatrics, or those wishing to develop their vascular access placement techniques.

The session is made up of informative lectures and hands-on training with the use of human models, ultrasound phantoms and manikins. This session can be provided as a workshop or as a local in-house ward-based training session.

Training materials: A training aid, video, workbooks and competency document are available to support this training, and a certificate will be provided to demonstrate your continued professional development.
