Workshops
Our Clinical Nurse Advisors (CNA) offer regional workshops for a more in-depth training session on device insertion, care and maintenance. They take you through anatomy and physiology, device selection, best-practice for insertion, plus care and maintenance in line with national guidelines. These sessions include the use of hands-on training aids and manikins, so you can be declared competent in the product use in a simulated environment. You can then return to your hospital ready to be supervised and declared competent in a clinical setting by your local training teams. If necessary the CNAs can support and supervise you in the clinical setting (with or without the use of honorary contracts) to help you develop skills and gain competence.
Clinical Nurse Advisors (CNA)
To complement the role of the sales executives, Vygon employs two Clinical Nurse Advisors. The role of the CNA is to: deliver training on the insertion, care and maintenance of vascular access devices, and the use of ultrasound for device insertion; offer assistance with competency attainment; give help and advice regarding service and policy development; and provide support with writing for publication and poster presentations. Our nurses are registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) and between them have a wealth of clinical experience that will benefit and enhance the training provided, and ensure that it is evidence-based and current.
