In-service Training: Arterial Line Placement Workshop

Training Overview

Vygon provides educational material and organises practical workshops for all clinical staff to assist in the placement, care and maintenance, and removal of arterial lines.

This session focuses on the use of Vygon’s Leadercath Arterial line, using the Seldinger Technique, to provide a higher rate of successful insertions compared to the use of a cannula.

  • Average Duration: 2-3 hours*
  • Training Group Size: Up to 10 delegates per session
  • Training Option: In-person workshop, supervised theatre placement, or local drop-in session.

*Session Duration depends on numbers of individuals attending the training, if more than 10 attendees, multiple sessions can be organised.

Training Materials: Supporting documents and videos are also available to support the training, and a certificate can be provided to demonstrate your continued professional development.

  • Insertion Techniques: Master the Seldinger method and direct puncture with precision, training aid can be used for hands-on experience.
  • Complication Management: Prevent, recognise, and respond to risks effectively.
  • Post-Insertion Care & Removal: Ensure safe maintenance and removal for optimal outcomes.

 

The training and topics can be adapted to meet your needs and requirements including device and subject focus and can be delivered as dedicated sessions or a drop-in format.
